"I did my first round of chemo in New York, and my family came up from Florida, and it just became very clear that I was going to need help. And I wasn't the doctor because I had such an intense amount of chemo. My doctor was like, You're immediately going to be extremely immunocompromised. You cannot go on the subway. You cannot be around people. And this was all before COVID."
